What causes pain in the tendons on the top of the foot?
Disease description:
I’ve been experiencing pain in the tendons on the top of my feet over the past two days, accompanied by difficulty walking. I’d like to understand what might be causing this tendon pain on the dorsum of the foot.
Causes include trauma, overuse, and other factors. Pain on the dorsum of the foot may result from trauma, ankle sprain, improper force application, or prolonged physical strain leading to ligament injury in this area. Topical application of ketoprofen gel is recommended, along with avoidance of strenuous activity; symptoms will gradually improve. The primary cause is chronic overuse, resulting in localized aseptic inflammation and subsequent dorsal foot pain. In such cases, active treatment is essential; daily warm compresses and gentle local massage may also be beneficial.
