Is Aka Fen Powder effective for dysmenorrhea?

Acafensan is relatively effective for dysmenorrhea. This medication is an antibacterial analgesic; if dysmenorrhea is severe, it may be taken under a physician’s guidance to effectively control symptoms. However, since the underlying causes of dysmenorrhea vary, treatment approaches also differ. For instance, dysmenorrhea caused by “cold uterus” (a TCM concept referring to uterine coldness) is primarily managed with warming and dispelling-cold therapies, whereas dysmenorrhea due to adenomyosis may require insertion of a Mirena intrauterine system (IUS). In cases of mild dysmenorrhea, drinking an appropriate amount of brown sugar–ginger tea may provide noticeable symptomatic relief.
