Can patients with recurrent allergic purpura receive the COVID-19 vaccine?
Disease description:
Recently, all my friends have gone to get the COVID-19 vaccine, but I have allergic purpura, which tends to recur frequently. Can I still receive the COVID-19 vaccine?
Patients with allergic purpura should not receive the COVID-19 vaccine if they are currently in an acute flare-up phase, as vaccination may increase the burden on the immune system and potentially worsen the condition or cause other adverse symptoms. However, if the patient is in the recovery phase or has remained free of recurrence for a prolonged period, vaccination against COVID-19 is acceptable.
