I previously had rhinoplasty but am not satisfied with the results, so I would like to have the implant removed. Could you please tell me how nasal implant removal is performed?

The method for removing a nasal implant depends on the implant material.
If it is a silicone implant, an incision is made in one nostril to completely remove the silicone implant.
If it is a expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) implant, the procedure is more complicated because the ePTFE tends to integrate with surrounding tissues. To completely remove the ePTFE implant, incisions must be made in both nostrils and also on the columella.
