Types of abnormal male external genital development include penile abnormalities, testicular abnormalities, and urethral abnormalities. Penile developmental abnormalities mainly include penile agenesis, phimosis, concealed penis, macropenis, and micropenis. Testicular developmental abnormalities are primarily characterized by polyorchidism or anorchia, hypergonadism combined with testicular dysgenesis, and impaired testicular development; abnormalities in testicular descent can also lead to male infertility. Urethral developmental abnormalities mainly occur in epispadias and hypospadias. Epispadias includes glandular, penile, and pubic types.
