What causes dull pain in the ribs under the right armpit?

After getting up this morning, I started experiencing a dull pain under the ribs in my right armpit area. I would like to know what could be causing this kind of discomfort.

Pain in the lower right rib area may be caused by intercostal neuralgia or strain of the axillary muscles. After localized pain occurs, adequate rest is recommended. If the pain is due to intercostal neuralgia, topical Voltaren cream or oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Etoricoxib or Lornoxicam can be used for treatment. If the pain results from local muscle strain, such as serratus muscle strain, Yunnan Baiyao spray, Shexiang Zhuanggu Plaster, or Gutong Plaster may be applied locally to promote circulation and relieve pain.
