Cord blood cannot cure lupus nephritis. Cord blood contains hematopoietic stem cells that can replace malignant or defective blood-forming cells and is used in treating certain hematologic disorders such as leukemia. Nephritis is an inflammation of the urinary system caused by viral infection, and its treatment depends on pathological findings, urine protein levels, and kidney function.
