Can I eat ice cream at 38 weeks pregnant if my blood sugar is high?
Disease description:
Summer is coming before we know it. I used to love eating ice cream, but recently I've been experiencing dizziness, nausea, and sometimes even vomiting. At 38 weeks pregnant with high blood sugar, can I eat ice cream?
At 38 weeks of pregnancy, individuals with high blood glucose should avoid eating ice cream. Pregnant women with high blood glucose should limit their daily caloric intake. For both diabetic patients and those with gestational hyperglycemia, dietary control is fundamental, and all other treatments are based on proper diet management. If a pregnant patient’s blood glucose levels remain elevated but achieve acceptable targets through diet and exercise, medication may not be necessary. However, if blood glucose levels do not meet the target criteria, pharmacological treatment to lower blood glucose should be initiated.
