Onychomycosis does not cause foot numbness. It usually leads to yellowing and thickening of the nails, as well as nail distortion and detachment. It is primarily caused by fungal infection, although prolonged wearing of non-breathable shoes may also contribute. Onychomycosis can be effectively treated with oral antifungal medications or topical antifungal agents applied directly to the affected area.
