Adverse Effects of Levofloxacin Tablets

Apr 07, 2021 Source: Cainiu Health
Disease description:

I had a sore throat recently and went to the hospital for a checkup, where I was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis. Since my health has always been poor and I frequently get sick, I usually take Levofloxacin tablets whenever I have a throat infection. I would like to ask whether taking this medication too often might lead to any side effects?

Hello, possible side effects of Levofloxacin Hydrochloride Tablets include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, and bloating; neurological symptoms such as insomnia, dizziness, and headache; as well as skin rash and itching. Transient liver function abnormalities may also occur, such as elevated serum transaminase and increased serum total bilirubin. Occasionally, increased blood urea nitrogen, fatigue, fever, palpitations, and abnormal taste may be observed. These adverse reactions are generally well tolerated and tend to disappear quickly after completion of the treatment course. I hope my answer can help you. Wishing you good health.
