Symptoms of cervical muscle strain

If there is a cervical muscle strain, localized muscle fiber tearing occurs, leading to hematoma formation within the muscle. This presents as sharp pain, visible swelling, and skin bruising. Additionally, in more severe muscle strains, localized depression may appear, significantly affecting the neck. Cervical MRI and ultrasound examinations can be performed to assess the severity of the muscle injury.
