Dr. Lin Yunfei
When suffering from trapezius muscle injury, one may experience pain, subcutaneous swelling, and bruising. In severe cases, movement of both upper limbs may be restricted, leading to limited neck mobility. Patients are advised to avoid standing for long periods or working at a desk; instead, they should rest lying down more often. The affected area can be treated externally with topical Voltaren ointment, or other medications that promote blood circulation, resolve blood stasis, reduce swelling, and relieve pain. Oral medications for traumatic injuries may also be taken.
