My baby has developed some red spots on her face. I recently took her to the hospital for a checkup, and the doctor said it's a vascular nevus. Could you please tell me what harm can a vascular nevus cause?

Hemangiomas may cause various harms, including affecting vision and cosmetic appearance. Hemangiomas in special locations (such as those around the eye socket) can lead to expansion, deformation, or even impair vision if they grow rapidly or become large. Similarly, hemangiomas on areas such as the nose or ears may also cause problems. Additionally, they can affect aesthetics; some hemangiomas that regress spontaneously may leave behind scars, skin atrophy, hypopigmentation, telangiectasia, or loose skin during the involution process.
