Dr. Lin Yunfei
Brisk walking is not recommended for individuals with osteoarthritis. The increased load on the joints during brisk walking can accelerate joint wear and worsen the condition. Instead, activities such as regular walking and swimming are advised, as they place less stress on the joints. The primary goal of osteoarthritis treatment is to prevent further cartilage deterioration. Therefore, medications that promote cartilage formation, such as glucosamine sulfate, may be appropriately used in treatment. However, drug therapy should ideally be conducted under a doctor's guidance.
