Constipation in a nine-month-old baby can be relieved by introducing complementary foods, abdominal massage, and taking oral traditional Chinese medicine. At nine months of age, babies begin to receive complementary foods, but since they have just transitioned from exclusive breastfeeding, their digestive systems may not yet be fully adapted. If the food choices are inappropriate, food may remain in the intestines too long, leading to constipation. In such cases, it is helpful to increase intake of vegetable juice, fruit juice, vegetables, and fruits. Foods rich in plant fiber can promote intestinal motility and improve constipation symptoms. Abdominal massage can also be performed when the baby is constipated, as this method helps regulate gastrointestinal function. Additionally, children's Qizhen Pills can be given to clear heat and promote bowel movements; once bowel movements become regular, continued use is unnecessary.
