Disease description:

My child has been crying intensely lately, possibly due to eating a varied diet and having difficulty with bowel movements. After visiting the pediatric department at the hospital, the diagnosis was constipation. The doctor said it's not severe and can be managed through dietary adjustments. What should I do for my baby's bloating and constipation?

Babies with bloating and constipation can eat foods high in fiber or consume more fruits that help moisturize the intestines and soften stools. Increase intake of high-fiber foods such as celery and leeks. If the baby is very young, chop or mash the celery and leeks before feeding. Include fruits that help lubricate the intestines and relieve constipation, such as bananas, kiwifruit, and apples. You may also give the baby honey water, which promotes bowel movements and effectively prevents constipation. Alternatively, gently massage the baby's abdomen in a clockwise direction or apply a warm compress, both of which can effectively enhance gastrointestinal motility and reduce bloating and constipation.
