Symptoms of precocious puberty in children include breast development and genital changes. If young girls are frequently exposed to exogenous hormones such as estrogen and isoniazid, it may likely lead to dysfunction of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis and idiopathic precocious puberty. At this stage, the main symptom is breast development. It can be clearly observed that the child's breasts enlarge and the areolae form. Once a girl experiences precocious puberty, fine, light-colored pubic hair begins to grow in the genital area, and pigmentation appears on the labia majora. Meanwhile, vaginal discharge increases; leukorrhea may be secreted, possibly accompanied by discomfort such as vaginal itching or pain.
