Why does my urine turn green after taking vitamin B?
Disease description:
I have some health supplements at home said to contain vitamin B, and since no one else was taking them, I started using them. Recently, I noticed my urine changed color. I'd like to know why taking vitamin B would cause green-colored urine.
After taking vitamin B, urine may turn green due to drug-induced discoloration, which is considered normal.
Commonly used vitamin B is a compound preparation containing multiple ingredients. Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) contained in vitamin B, after oral administration, dissolves in body fluids and is excreted unchanged through the kidneys, causing urine to become yellow or darker yellow. This is a normal phenomenon of drug-related discoloration.
