I experienced irregular vaginal bleeding during early pregnancy and have undergone examination. I am currently being treated with progesterone supplementation. Could you please tell me how many days it generally takes for bleeding to stop after starting progesterone?

Taking progesterone usually stops bleeding within 2 to 3 days. For abnormal vaginal bleeding in women, it is essential to identify the underlying cause before starting medication. Once cervical lesions and endometrial disorders as potential causes of bleeding have been ruled out, progesterone can be very effective in stopping the bleeding. Additionally, during pregnancy preservation, taking progesterone also has a hemostatic effect. Bleeding should subside within 2 to 3 days; if bleeding completely stops, it may take another two days to fully resolve.
