At 39 weeks of pregnancy, if a long cervical canal is found, the specific management depends on the condition of the fetus. Monitoring of fetal heart rate, fetal movement, and amniotic fluid can be performed. If abnormalities in fetal heart rate or fetal movement occur, delivery can be scientifically induced. If the fetus shows no abnormalities, one may wait for labor to begin naturally. By 41 weeks, if there are still no signs of labor, it is recommended to visit the hospital for an examination to assess cervical maturity. If necessary, vaginal insertion (such as with prostaglandin gel) may be performed to accelerate cervical ripening.
