Today, I noticed an abnormal vaginal discharge while showering, and have recently been experiencing vaginal itching. After examination, I was diagnosed with vaginal mucositis. What are the causes of vaginal mucositis?

Possible causes of vaginal mucositis include the following: First, frequent bicycle riding may lead to excessive friction of the vagina, or the use of items such as tampons may damage the vaginal mucosa, potentially triggering inflammation and resulting in vaginal mucositis. Second, overly aggressive sexual intercourse that causes injury to the vaginal mucosa may also lead to the aforementioned condition.
