I am now 12 weeks pregnant. During my recent prenatal checkup, the report indicated an enlarged anterior-positioned uterus. What does "enlarged anterior-positioned uterus" mean?

An enlarged anteverted uterus generally refers to a uterus that is positioned in the anterior position and has increased in size. Under normal circumstances, a woman's uterus does not enlarge; however, during pregnancy, the uterus typically increases in size due to the developing embryo, which is considered a normal physiological phenomenon. Enlargement may also result from pathological conditions—for example, chronic cervicitis, in which long-term inflammatory stimulation leads to uterine enlargement.
