Causes of elevated white blood cells in gynecology

Elevated white blood cells in gynecological examinations may be due to vaginitis. When the normal vaginal flora is disrupted, it can lead to an imbalance in the vaginal microbial environment, resulting in vaginitis. During a gynecological examination of vaginal discharge, white blood cell counts are often elevated. It could also be caused by acute cervicitis, in which patients may present symptoms such as cervical edema and congestion, leading to increased white blood cells.
