Pain following reconstruction surgery for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture typically lasts about one to two weeks. ACL rupture is an orthopedic condition caused by forceful knee extension or external impact, and clinically presents with symptoms such as local redness, swelling, pain, and inability to walk normally. After surgery, the limb should be immobilized with a cast for six weeks. Generally, pain begins to subside around one week postoperatively, and after approximately two weeks, pain is usually no longer noticeable.
