What are the symptoms of oral mucosal diseases?
Disease description:
Recently, I've had bad breath and my tongue appears red. After a hospital checkup, it was diagnosed as oral mucosal disease. What are the symptoms of oral mucosal disease?
Oral mucosal diseases may present symptoms such as infection and atrophy. In ulcerative conditions, the patient's oral mucosa may undergo atrophy or hyperplasia. In cases of glossitis, cheilitis, or angular cheilitis, patients may experience changes in color and texture, or develop taste abnormalities. The symptoms of recurrent aphthous ulcers include the formation of small, sunken lesions on non-keratinized mucosa. The surrounding mucosa appears red and congested, and the lesion is typically painful.
