Do hypertensive patients have a high body temperature?
Disease description:
I've had a slightly elevated temperature for the past couple of days, along with some dizziness. I'm worried this might be caused by high blood pressure. Can patients with high blood pressure have an elevated body temperature?
Hypertensive patients typically do not have elevated body temperature; in general, their body temperature is the same as that of healthy individuals. Increased body temperature may be caused by fever, colds, or other factors. If body temperature remains persistently elevated, it may lead to dilation of systemic capillaries and accelerated blood circulation, which can easily increase blood pressure and thus hinder effective control of the condition.
