What causes cerebral vascular blockage?
Disease description:
I've been feeling dizzy and nauseous these past few days, and my head feels heavy. After going to the hospital, I was told that I have a blocked cerebral blood vessel. What causes blockage in the brain's blood vessels?
There are various causes that can lead to cerebral vascular occlusion. It may result from underlying conditions such as hypertension, high blood glucose, or hyperlipidemia, which cause arterial hardening and subsequently blockage. It could also be due to age-related arterial hardening leading to narrowing of the vascular lumen and eventual occlusion. Additionally, autoimmune vasculitis or infectious diseases cannot be ruled out as potential causes.
