When should ovulation induction start, from which day of the menstrual cycle?
Disease description:
Poor follicular development was observed during monitoring; advised to take ovulation-inducing medication starting from day 5 of the menstrual cycle. From which day of the period should ovulation induction begin?
Ovulation induction begins on day 5 to 7 of the menstrual cycle. If ovulatory disorders are caused by conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), ovarian insufficiency, or diminished ovarian function, and pregnancy is desired, ovulation induction can be performed. If both ovaries are unable to ovulate normally, this may negatively affect fertility. In such cases, oral medications can be used to promote follicular maturation and ovulation, which can facilitate conception following sexual intercourse.
