Disease description:

My grandfather was recently hospitalized due to cerebral arteriosclerosis. He usually loves eating cream, so today I specially brought him a cream cake. I'd like to ask—can someone with cerebral arteriosclerosis still eat cream?

Patients with cerebral arteriosclerosis are generally advised not to consume cream. Cream is a high-fat food that can easily increase blood lipid levels after consumption, which is unfavorable for recovery. In addition to avoiding cream, patients should also limit intake of egg yolks, animal organs, and foods high in sugar, as these contain large amounts of cholesterol and saturated fatty acids that may worsen cerebral arteriosclerosis.
