Menopause indicates that ovarian function has already failed, meaning the ovaries can no longer produce normal eggs. Even with ovulation stimulation, the quality of the eggs is poor, significantly increasing the risk of miscarriage after embryo formation. After menopause, not only are the ovaries non-functional, but other reproductive organs such as the uterus and vagina also gradually atrophy, making IVF unsuitable under these conditions.
