Disease description:

It hurts whenever I bend over, and after a medical checkup, I was found to have symptoms of uterine prolapse. I often speak loudly or strain my voice in daily life—could this be related? Can straining the voice cause uterine prolapse?

Speaking forcefully generally does not cause uterine prolapse. Uterine prolapse is usually caused by stagnation of qi during childbirth, loosening of the belt meridian, or deficiency of the Chong and Ren meridians. However, if there is difficult labor or excessive straining during delivery, the uterus may prolapse. In mild cases of uterine protrusion, overexertion, physical strain, or emotional upset can increase abdominal pressure, thereby worsening the condition of uterine prolapse.
