Dr. Zhang Jianbin
Diuretics can generally be used for pericardial effusion; however, if the patient has moderate pericardial effusion, it is better to treat with medications such as anti-inflammatory agents, antituberculosis drugs, corticosteroids, or surgical intervention. Common underlying causes include heart failure, pulmonary infection, hypoalbuminemia, or tumors. Patients should develop good daily habits and ensure adequate rest.
