My partner experiences left lower abdominal pain every time she gets her period. Why is it always this specific area that hurts and not other parts? I'd like to know why the menstrual cramps always occur in the left lower abdomen?

The most common cause of left lower abdominal pain during each menstrual period is lesions in the left adnexal region, inflammation in the left lower abdomen, or gastrointestinal issues. Endometrial lesions in the left adnexal area can lead to bleeding and pain during menstruation, as the ectopic endometrial tissue also sheds and bleeds similarly to normal endometrium. After menstruation ends, it is advisable to visit a hospital for appropriate examination and treatment.
