After myopia surgery, it is important to avoid getting water in the eyes for one week. When swimming or bathing, take care to prevent bacteria from entering the eyes and causing infection. Rubbing the eyes during the first week after surgery may irritate the corneal wound, impair healing, create an uneven refractive surface, and lead to decreased vision. Patients should pay attention to their diet following surgery, focusing on light and easily digestible foods, and avoiding spicy foods such as chili peppers.
