Abdominal pain after cervical conization is normal. Cervical conization can also be performed with surgical suturing. It is said that mild abdominal pain and slight bleeding are normal. After conization, some people may experience minor bleeding, and in such cases, it is generally necessary to monitor changes in the amount of bleeding. Within 48 hours after the conization procedure, gauze is packed in the vagina; after removing the gauze, the bleeding should remain minimal. Mild abdominal pain may persist for an extended period of time.
