Gastrointestinal perforation usually results from irregular eating habits. If not detected early and treated properly, it can penetrate the outermost serosal layer of the stomach wall, leading to gastric perforation. Therefore, patients should chew food slowly and avoid eating too quickly or consuming highly irritating foods, as these may damage the stomach. If a sharp injury accidentally occurs in the abdominal area, it may not only cause intestinal perforation but also lead to intestinal rupture in severe cases. Immediate treatment is essential; otherwise, excessive bleeding may lead to shock or even life-threatening consequences.
