People with excessive liver fire are not advised to tap the gallbladder meridian, as tapping may increase the flow of qi and blood in the body, potentially exacerbating liver fire. However, it is recommended that elderly individuals regularly tap the gallbladder meridian to improve energy, mental clarity, sleep quality, and help prevent coronary heart disease. The gallbladder meridian runs along the outer side of the thigh. For those with excessive liver fire, herbal treatments such as Danzhi Xiaoyao San may be considered. It's also advisable to avoid high-calorie and spicy, stimulating foods, and instead drink teas like chrysanthemum or kuding tea.
