Testicular pain upon touching the abdomen may be caused by viral infection. It commonly occurs as a complication during mumps outbreaks, with the mumps virus leading to inflammation of the testicles. If you have a recent history of mumps and experience testicular pain, it is recommended to seek medical evaluation for further examination to rule out or assist in treatment. Some patients may experience pain after sexual activity, which could result from genital arousal and congestion. In some cases, the pain might be referred from the varicocele of the spermatic cord or other areas.
