It is possible for development to continue even after circumcision at 18 years of age. Generally, penile development stops around the age of 20. The primary purpose of circumcision is to improve hygiene and prevent complications such as paraphimosis. After surgery, the foreskin can be retracted normally, reducing inflammation and avoiding complications caused by phimosis, including swelling, pain, and paraphimosis. It is advisable to wear loose clothing to minimize friction on the wound, maintain good hygiene at the surgical site, and disinfect the incision area with iodophor after urination or defecation whenever possible.
