Abnormal vaginal discharge with bleeding may indicate that the patient has entered the ovulation period. During ovulation, estrogen levels drop, which may deprive the endometrium of estrogen support, leading to endometrial shedding and resulting in vaginal bleeding, often accompanied by mild discomfort or pain. Cervicitis, endometritis, submucosal uterine fibroids, endometrial polyps, or cervical polyps can also cause blood in vaginal discharge. A hospital ultrasound and gynecological examination are necessary to identify the underlying cause and guide appropriate treatment.
