What can you actually eat with intestinal adhesions?
Disease description:
I had an abdominal surgery recently, and my recovery hasn't been going well. I now have a bit of intestinal adhesion. What exactly can someone with intestinal adhesion eat?
Patients with intestinal adhesions can take prokinetic medications and eat light, easily digestible foods. Intestinal adhesions may lead to constipation; if constipation occurs, prokinetic drugs such as mosapride or domperidone should be taken as directed by a physician to help with bowel movements. Additionally, patients with intestinal adhesions should consume liquid or soft foods, such as rice porridge or pumpkin porridge, to help prevent intestinal obstruction.
