Symptoms of pediatric food accumulation cough
Disease description:
My baby has had a cough for the past couple of days. The doctor said it's "food stagnation cough." What are the symptoms of food stagnation cough in children?
Children with cough due to food stagnation typically experience more severe coughing in the afternoon or at night. The cough is often paroxysmal, with little sputum that is thick and sticky. Bad breath is commonly present during coughing episodes, and wheezing may also occur. Additionally, food stagnation in children may be accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, difficulty in defecation, and passing foul-smelling flatus.
