What should I do about a dermatofibroma?
Disease description:
The day before yesterday, I went to bathe with my best friend. She noticed some raised bumps on my back, so I quickly went to the hospital for a checkup and was diagnosed with cutaneous fibroma. What should I do?
Dermatofibromas are usually managed with medication or surgical treatment. If the tumor is small and the patient has no significant symptoms, corticosteroids such as compound betamethasone or triamcinolone acetonide may be used under medical supervision to inhibit cell proliferation and alleviate the condition. When necessary, surgical removal of the tumor, such as superficial mass excision, may be required to control the disease.
