Dr. Zhang Lei
Mouth ulcers that occur upon biting the cheek are generally caused by deficiencies in vitamin B2, trace elements, or internal "heat." Traumatic ulcers result from sudden mechanical force that disrupts the integrity and continuity of the mucosal epithelium, leading to necrosis of surface cells and the formation of a depressed ulcer. Patients can appropriately increase their intake of vitamin B2 and zinc, and should regularly consume more fresh fruits, drink plenty of water, and supplement their nutrition.
