Hello, peeling of the hands and feet may indicate a fungal infection. Has the patient previously had athlete’s foot or onychomycosis (fungal nail infection)? Fungi can spread through direct contact, leading to tinea manuum (hand fungus) or tinea pedis (foot fungus), which commonly present with peeling skin. Fungal-induced peeling is often accompanied by itching and other discomforts. Additionally, deficiencies in vitamin A and B vitamins can cause dry skin and subsequent peeling. We hope this information is helpful. Wishing you good health!
