Disease description:

Recently, I've been experiencing frequent abdominal bloating. After a medical checkup, the doctor diagnosed me with early-stage descending colon cancer. I hadn't felt any physical discomfort before, so I'd like to know what symptoms are typically associated with the early stages of this disease?

Early descending colon cancer may cause symptoms such as abdominal distension and indigestion. Patients may also experience increased frequency of bowel movements, alternating diarrhea and constipation, and abdominal pain. As the disease progresses, mucus in the stool or mucoid bloody stools may appear. These symptoms are often easily overlooked, leading to delayed diagnosis and treatment.
