This afternoon I accidentally twisted my body and since then have been experiencing pain in the right side of my ribs. I'd like to know what might be causing this?

Pain in the right side of the ribs may result from poor sitting posture or frequently sitting in a twisted position, causing imbalanced tension in the bilateral intercostal muscles and leading to intercostal muscle strain. It could also be due to costochondritis, which is usually caused by hormonal imbalances, excessive mental stress, or viral infections. Additionally, if the patient has intercostal neuralgia, it can also cause the above symptoms.
