Eyebag surgery generally refers to a surgical procedure, which can be performed using either an internal or external incision approach. With the internal incision method, it may take one to two months to fully recover after removal of the eyebags. The external incision method may require two to three months for complete recovery. However, this method may leave some scars, which could take as long as six months or even a year to become less noticeable.
