What is an intrahepatic hemangioma, and is it dangerous?
Disease description:
Two days ago, my father was diagnosed with an intrahepatic hemangioma during a hospital check-up. I don't know much about this condition—what exactly is an intrahepatic hemangioma, and is it dangerous?
Hepatic hemangiomas are usually caused by congenital developmental abnormalities, and may also result from elevated estrogen levels in the body. They are benign lesions and generally not dangerous. However, large hemangiomas may pose certain risks and could lead to symptoms such as weight loss and reduced abdominal fat in patients.
