How long does it take to recover from eye corner surgery?
Disease description:
I feel my eyes are particularly small, and the doctor recommended I undergo eye corner surgery. However, my company is urging me to return to work. I'd like to know how long it will take to recover after the procedure.
It usually takes about 1 to 3 months to recover from an eye corner widening surgery. This procedure typically uses a blade to enlarge the eye fissure and may cause local skin trauma. Noticeable swelling, along with possible pain and discharge, commonly occurs 3 to 5 days after surgery. Swelling generally subsides within about one month. However, if improper postoperative care leads to infection, recovery may take up to approximately three months.
